Volunteer Policy

The Lakes Area Hockey Association (LAHA) is an organization run by volunteers. Volunteer efforts directly benefit LAHA players and families by setting a great example for our kids and off-setting program costs. The involvement of LAHA members is what makes us a successful organization!

  • Every LAHA family is required to complete volunteer points.
  • Please note that this is a per player requirement.
  • Each volunteer point ranges from 30 minutes to 3 hour duration.
  • There is no maximum number of shifts that a family can contribute in a given year.

Volunteer FAQ's

  • Q: “How do I claim volunteer credits to complete the volunteer requirement?”

A: As the hosted event(s) approach, a few weeks beforehand, an email will be sent to all members announcing that “Dibs is open for xxxx Event”. At that time, members can go to the DIBS Sessions here, and sign up for the volunteer event they choose.

If you log in, and there is nothing listed – that means all slots have been claimed.

Note: Members are encouraged to review opportunities as soon as they are announced to guarantee finding a time slot that works best for you – volunteer slots get claimed quickly!
