Learn to Skate
Lakes Area Hockey Association (LAHA) Learn to Skate (LTS) program provides a fun and structured way for skaters to be physically active and improve their skills. Participation in the program enables beginning skaters to learn basic skating skills for recreational enjoyment.

The objectives of the program are to:
• Teach children and adults the fundamentals of ice skating while building confidence and skills through each lesson.
• Provide a progressive curriculum that ensures success from the first steps on the ice to the mastery of advanced skills.
• Promote the health and fitness benefits of ice skating.
• Equip each participant with the foundation necessary to reach his or her goal, be it recreational or competitive in nature.
Learn to Skate class registration includes:
- New session every 8 weeks, 8-week session $180
- One 30-min. class each week, free skate rental included
- 8 Free Public Skating admissions for each skater to practice. This Public Session Pass can be used at your convenience on any weekday or weekend public session. This Pass is limited to 8 sessions and will expire at the end of the learn to skate semester. Skate rentals are not included during the public session. Skate rental is $3 per session if needed.
- Membership with Learn to Skate USA, the only grassroots skating program endorsed by U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speed Skating with support from the Special Olympics, Professional Skaters Association and the U.S. Ice Rink Association. Membership is good from July 1st – June 30th.

IMPORTANT: Please review the information on the "Your Account on Crossbar" page before registering your player. Your parent account needs to be established first and you can add the youth player as a participant to that account. Do not establish a separate account in the youth player's name.
